We are seeking a talented and driven professional to support business growth based in our Northallerton office. The role requires you to:
- Provide assistance to the General Manager UK in the pricing and tendering on prospective projects.
- Assist the tender department in the preparation of tender documents meeting a high standard in order to better position the company in its tender pursuits.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or supervisors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Prepare estimates to be used by management for purposes such as planning, organising, and scheduling work.
What you bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or 5 years demonstrated experience in estimating in the demolition, civil and remediation discipline. Or equivalent project based experience on demolition, civil and remediation projects.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills and will be motivated, proactive with good time management abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Must be willing to travel throughout the UK and Europe from time to time.
- Well-presented and professional attitude.
- Strong technically and able to work with estimating software.
- Must be able to work to very strict deadlines.
- On rare occasions, must be available to work on weekends from time to time during busy tendering periods.
- Be at a competent level with Microsoft Excel, Project and Publisher.
