Hospitality Production Assistant - Junior Management Level

Job Description:
The Hospitality Production title does not say it all; you will be responsible for the production of hospitality platters for both on-site customers and delivery to external customers. Your primary focus will be on crafting visually stunning and delectable food items, including sandwiches, savouries, salads, and fruit platters, to include management of staff involved in the production. Your role will primarily operate Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 14:30 hrs, with occasional flexibility for later shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage others in the preparation and assembly of a variety of sandwiches, savouries, salads, and fruit / cake platters according to established recipes and customer preferences; meeting dietary and allergen requirements.
Ensure exceptional quality by paying meticulous attention to detail in food presentation, garnishing, and portion control.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following strict hygiene and food safety standards.
Collaborate closely with the team to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of orders.
Uphold excellent customer service by promptly addressing any specific requests or dietary requirements.
Adhere to established production schedules and deadlines to meet customer demands.
Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, ordering, conducting ingredient checks, and reporting any shortages.
Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in food production, is essential.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredient selection, and flavour combinations.
Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing food presentations that exceed customer expectations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented approach with a focus on precision and consistency in food production.
Knowledge of hygiene and food safety regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and address customer requirements.
Flexibility to occasionally work later shifts to meet business needs.
