Job Description: Packer at Flavourtown Bakery
Full time position - Tuesday to Saturday.
Position Overview:
As a Packer at Flavourtown Bakery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our best-in-class baked goods are carefully and accurately packed for distribution to customers. You will be responsible for carefully packaging various Flavourtown Bakery products, maintaining quality standards, and assisting in the smooth operation of the packing process. This is an essential position that directly impacts customer happiness and the reputation of Flavourtown Bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Packaging Preparation: Prepare packaging materials, including boxes, bags, labels, and any other required materials, to facilitate the packing process efficiently.
2. Product Inspection: Inspect baked goods for quality, ensuring that they meet the bakery's high standards before being packed.
3. Accurate Packing: Carefully pack our delicate handmade cakes, cucpakes, brownies and cookies, ensuring brand packing standards are met to prevent damage during transportation.
4. Order Fulfillment: Assist in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting the correct baked goods and packaging them according to order specifications.
5. Quantity Verification: Double-check order quantities to ensure that the correct number of items is packed and that all required items are included.
6. Hygiene and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized packing area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the production of safe, high-quality bakery products.
7. Quality Control: Collaborate with the Head decorator and Production Managee to identify any discrepancies or defects in baked goods, ensuring that only products meeting Flavourtown brand standards are packed.
8. Inventory Management: Keep track of packing supplies and report any shortages or discrepancies to the Production Manager
9. Efficiency Improvement: Share your ideas for improvements to increase packing efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize productivity.
10. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements during the packing process.
Requirements:
- Outstanding wtitten and spoken English
- Previous experience in food industray packing or production environment.
- Basic math skills to count and verify quantities accurately.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills to manage packaging materials and maintain an orderly workspace.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages of various weights.
- Avaaibility to work full time Tuesday to Saturday on a shet shift pattern.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is desirable.

The Packer role at Flavourtown Bakery involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting production and packing deadlines. You will spend most of your time on your feet, and the job may require lifting and carrying bakery items and packing materials. Adherence to safety and hygiene systems is essential to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
